Visit The BoatYard Grill in June to Support American Red Cross

ITHACA, N.Y. (May 23, 2014) —  The BoatYard Grill restaurant in Ithaca and the American Red Cross of Tompkins County have teamed up for a delicious way to provide Red Cross services to residents throughout the county.

For the entire month of June, The BoatYard Grill will donate 50 percent of its sales from its dessert of the month – strawberry shortcake – to the American Red Cross of Tompkins County.
The BoatYard Grill is also hosting a Give Back Night on Monday, June 9, when 20 percent of its sales for the day will be donated to the Red Cross.

“We’ve been active in the Ithaca community for 12 years and this partnership with the American Red Cross is another way for us to give back to our family, friends and neighbors who may need Red Cross services one day,” said Brian Jardin, manager of The Boatyard Grill.

Proceeds from The BoatYard Grill promotions will enable the Red Cross to continue to provide its services to Tompkins County residents. Those services include preparing the public for disasters, responding to disasters, offering health and safety classes, hosting blood drives, and providing emergency communication and assistance for members of the Armed Forces and their families.

“The Tompkins County Red Cross is proud to partner with an establishment such as The BoatYard Grill that has long served as a gathering place for members of the Tompkins County community,” said Carlos McCluskey, manager of the American Red Cross of Tompkins County. “We’re grateful to The BoatYard Grill and all of our local partners whose generosity enables the Red Cross to continue its life-saving mission in the county.”
Throughout June, The BoatYard Grill will offer a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrées. To print a free appetizer coupon, visit
