Great Chefs Dinner Sunday to Benefit American Red Cross

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (March 26, 2014) – Tickets are still available for the Great Chefs dinner to benefit the American Red Cross of Central New York. The 28th Great Chefs will start at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the Skaneateles Country Club.

The Great Chefs dinner features an all-star roster of Central New York’s best chefs, including Steve Landon, Gerald Bolton, Jason Drysdale, Christopher Cesta, Mary Kiernan, Ann Pellegrino and Michael Hoover. They’ll prepare a classic seven-course dinner, including appetizers, passed hors d'oeuvres, amuse-bouches, entrees and desserts. For more information, chef bios and a menu, visit www.redcross.org/ny/syracuse/great-chefs.

This year’s event will also include a live auction. Among the auction items are two private dinners for 10 created by a team of chefs from the Syracuse Chapter of the American Culinary Federation; a corporate or private pig roast for up to 75 guests; and a pair of two-night stays at Greek Peak Mountain Resort (including indoor waterpark access).

Tickets to the Great Chefs are $250 per person. To purchase tickets, call 315-234-2225 or email angelina.morimanno-boungou@redcross.org.

Proceeds from the Great Chefs will benefit the American Red Cross of Central New York, which provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Working families in Central New York require almost daily emergency assistance because of home fires and other disasters, and since July 1 the Red Cross has provided more than $129,000 to 575 people from 213 families impacted by fired and floods in Onondaga, Cayuga, Cortland, Madison and Oswego counties.
