Red Cross Offers Pet First Aid Training Nov.18 in Potsdam

POTSDAM, N.Y. (Nov. 7, 2013) — The American Red Cross of Northern New York will host a Pet First Aid Training class for cat and dog owners from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the Potsdam Humane Society, 17 Madrid Ave., Potsdam.

Pet First Aid Training for cats and dogs includes training on:

• Approaching an injured animal.

• Stopping bleeding, splinting broken bones, and treating for poison.

• Safely transporting an injured pet.

• Creating a pet first aid kit

• How to have a healthy and happy pet.
