(Allentown, PA) Sept. 17, 2013 – On Sept. 17, 2013, at approximately 12 A.M., the American Red Cross Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter was notified of 17-unit apartment fire on E. Union Street in Allentown, PA. The Red Cross assisted a total of 7 families with the following services: Family 1 (2 adults/2 children) with lodging and food; Family 2 (2 adults/1 child) with food and diapers; Family 3 (2 adults) with lodging and food; Family 4 (1 adult) with lodging and food; Family 5 (1 adult) with lodging and food; Family 6 (1 adult) with lodging and food; Family 7 (2 adults) with lodging and food. The Red Cross will follow up with the families for additional services, if needed.
