Local Red Cross to Honor Upper Darby Mayor Thomas N. Micozzie and Exelon Generation at annual Clara Barton Awards

PHILADELPHIA, May 8, 2014 The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) will hold a celebration to honor Upper Darby Mayor Thomas N. Micozzie and Exelon Generation. Mayor Micozzie will receive the David Henderson Humanitarian Award for his extraordinary service to his community and his dedication to the citizens of Delaware County. Exelon Generation will receive the Corporate Humanitarian Award for its support and sponsorship of programs that promote the health and well-being of the local community.

 

This prestigious event will feature a cocktail hour, silent auction, sports spectacular raffle and an awards ceremony, including video tributes of the honorees. CBS 3 anchor/reporter and Delaware County native, Nicole Brewer will host the event.

 

Proceeds from the Clara Barton Awards support the life-saving work of the American Red Cross SEPA Chapter by assisting thousands of area residents each year through disaster relief and preparedness, Service to the Armed Forces, and health and safety trainings.
