Red Cross Provides 24th Annual Christmas Dinner for the Community

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., December 16, 2013 – The American Red Cross 24th Annual Christmas Dinner, sponsored by Bi-Lo Charities, is free to anyone who needs a hot meal or place to fellowship.

Christmas Eve dinner will be provided from 12noon -2p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 205 S. Rosemary Ave., Andrews.

Christmas Day dinner will be provided from 1p.m. – 3p.m. at the following locations:

• St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3301 Hwy. 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach
• Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 10595 Hwy 17 N., Myrtle Beach (next to Barefoot Landing)
• Belin United Methodist Church, 4183 Hwy 17 S., Murrells Inlet

The Red Cross expects to provide some 6,000 meals, including home deliveries to those who cannot get to a church site. The cost of this event is expected to exceed $18,000.

“This event is provided to the public because of Bi-Lo’s generous sponsorship, donations from the community and the assistance of more than hundred Red Cross volunteers,” said Janice Ash Sialiano, event coordinator and Red Cross volunteer.
