Red Cross Assists St. Helena Island Fire Victims

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The American Red Cross assisted a family of three adults and four children whose home sustained major damage from St. Helena Island, S.C.  The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food, clothing, and temporary lodging, as well as referrals to partnering agencies and comfort kits containing personal hygiene items.
 
The Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross has assisted more than 4,400 individuals this year who have been affected by a disaster.
