A college internship at the American Red Cross offers students an opportunity to have hands-on, practical experience in a workplace setting. An internship here will be demanding, exciting and extremely rewarding.

Employment Category: Internships (unpaid)
Semester long internships (part time, unpaid) available in Youth Services, Emergency Services, Development and Communications. Most internships are approximately 120 hours per semester (8-10 hours per week) and most students do receive college credit (dependent on individual college programs and requirements).
Possible job duties include: Assisting with press releases and outreach messaging; Red Cross Youth Club liaison; grant research/fundraising; disaster education/community outreach; shelter planning and much more. Exact duties dependent on student’s area of interest/study and abilities, and Red Cross Chapter needs (specific needs change with the community’s needs).

Strong social, communication and organizational skills.
Proficient computer and social media skills. Acceptable GPA and recommendation from faculty may be required.
