Jane Delano Student Nurse Scholarship

The American Red Cross Jane Delano Society Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 in order to advance nursing as a career option and to promote the involvement of new nurses in the Red Cross.  Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded annually in May to nursing students who have contributed volunteer service to a Red Cross unit.

Eligibility

A nursing student eligible for receiving the scholarship will: 

• Have contributed volunteer service to a Red Cross unit within the past five years.
• Have completed the equivalent of at least one year of college/university credits.
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited United States nursing school.
• Be currently enrolled as a student in good academic standing.

Required Documentation

• Application form
• Support Documentation including Personal Essay
• Endorsement from Red Cross Unit (attach form to application)
• Endorsement from Nursing School Dean (attach form to application)

Please Note:  Scholarships may be applied toward tuition, books and academic fees only. The scholarship may not be used to pay any other expenses that the student incurs.

Scholarships will be presented to recipients by the student’s chapter or sponsoring unit. Send nominations to Littlefieldv@usa.redcross.org by March 15 of each year.
