Community
During a flu pandemic, everyday life may be disrupted due to illness. Stores may be closed and services may be disrupted due to absenteeism.. Schools and workplaces may be impacted as well. It’s important to learn what you can do to get better prepared and the American Red Cross can help.
Red Cross-Led Presentations
Most Red Cross chapters can deliver a presentation to your community group about how to plan and prepare for pandemic flu. For more information about community presentations, contact your local Red Cross chapter by typing your zip code into the box on the right hand side of the page.
Self- Led Presentations:

- A 22-minute DVD describing what a flu pandemic is, important terminology and how to help prevent the spread of flu.
- CD-ROM of resource materials, including fact sheets, useful web links and additional information.
Contact your local chapter to learn more about these materials or purchase them online at ShopStayWell.com or by calling (800) 667-2968 or faxing to (877) 297-8525.
