Boise Paper is committed to making great paper, and making a difference in the lives and communities of their customers and employees. They are committed to making Paper with Purpose™. This fall as part of National Preparedness Month, Boise will include Red Cross messaging on their X-9® multi-use paper reams and cartons to help educate consumers about the importance of preparedness. Specially designed cartons will encourage repurposing the boxes as personal and family Emergency Preparedness Kits. And limited edition reams of paper – featuring the Red Cross Emergency App and First Aid apps – can be found at select Office Depot locations. As one of the American Red Cross’ newest Annual Disaster Giving Program members, Boise also supports the everyday needs of the American Red Cross.

Disney is proud to work with the American Red Cross to develop tools that make it simple for families to prepare and to support programs that help ease kids’ fears about the unexpected. As the sponsor of The Pillowcase Project, Disney is helping third through fifth graders across the country know the science behind disasters, along with safety actions to stay safe, should something unexpected arise. The Mickey and Friends Disaster Preparedness Activity Book teaches kids and families what to do before, during and after a wide range of emergencies through interactive games and activities. Disney Friends for Change – a global initiative that inspires kids and families to take action and make a difference in their communities – will spotlight an interstitial on its website that highlights the importance of being prepared for disasters. The spot will also air on Disney Channel throughout September. Disney is a member of the Annual Disaster Giving Program, which helps to ensure that the Red Cross is ready to immediately respond when disaster strikes.


Interstate All Battery Center

This September, Interstate All Battery Center is encouraging customers to be ready for any emergency. In addition, from September 1 through December 31, 2015, Interstate Batteries will donate 5% of the price of every Interstate Brand 24-count AA and AAA alkaline battery packs sold in their retail stores, up to $10,000. Special end cap displays will accompany these products. As one of the Red Cross’ newest Disaster Responder members, Interstate All Battery Center has made a valuable in-kind contribution of batteries to support everyday needs of the organization.

Lowe's

Lowe's is encouraging customers to be prepared for hurricane season and earthquakes. Lowe's is featuring a special end-cap display at select stores in coastal, hurricane-prone communities as well as earthquake-prone communities. End-caps will include tear sheets with a list of recommended preparedness items. As a member of the Red Cross’ Annual Disaster Giving Program, Lowe’s pledges donations on an ongoing basis in advance of disasters to help ensure the Red Cross can take immediate action. Since teaming with the Red Cross in 1999, Lowe’s and its customers have contributed more than $25 million for disaster relief.


Circle K West

Circle K – Florida and West Coast Divisions

Circle K Florida and West Coast Divisions are pleased to offer another year of partnership with their customers to raise funds year-round to support the services of the American Red Cross. In west coast stores, during the months of September and October, customers will be asked to make a donation to support the Red Cross' ability to respond every eight minutes to an emergency. Customers will be asked to make a plan so that they are prepared for disasters at home, school and work. At Circle K stores in Florida, customers will have the opportunity to donate to the Red Cross and beginning in October, customers can also play the new Facebook game “Fire Drill” to learn important home fire safety tips. For National Preparedness Month 2015, Price Chopper/Market 32 is proud to partner with the Red Cross for a special, month-long campaign. Every 8 minutes, the Red Cross responds to a home fire or other disaster in a community like yours. When fire takes a house, it also takes everything that makes a house a home. Throughout September, Price Chopper customers can help their local Red Cross chapters “Give What Fire Takes” by making donations at checkout to help those affected by fires and other disasters. Price Chopper/Market 32 will match all donations made from September 1- 30, up to $10,000!
