American Red Cross role:

David is the senior executive in charge of the international operations of the American Red Cross. His responsibilities include managing American Red Cross government and privately funded programs in over thirty countries plus the $560 million Tsunami Recovery Program. In addition, he has overall responsibility for the international disaster response activities of the American Red Cross as well as the dissemination of international humanitarian law in the United States. Finally, David is responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies affecting the American Red Cross and the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
