American Red Cross role:
Eric is a Regional Health Advisor working for the American Red Cross office in El Salvador. Based in San Salvador he provides technical assistance in community health, water and sanitation and disaster preparedness and prevention initiatives to the Red Cross National Societies in the region – particularly El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua. As a technical resource he has been working on a Voluntary Counseling and Testing project focusing on decreasing vulnerability to HIV/AIDS of youth and deferred blood donors in Honduras.

His assignment at Red Cross involves working with the Red Cross Society in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua to produce projects and interventions which reduce vulnerability of populations affected by disasters.
