Media Advisory: More Than 80 Organizations Join Together To Launch National Preparedness Month

WHO: | Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, American Red Cross President Marty Evans, U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Joseph Lieberman and U.S. Representatives Christopher Cox and Jane Harman

WHAT: | Representatives of the National Preparedness Month coalition, which includes the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the American Red Cross, the America Prepared Campaign and more than 80 organizations, will join together to launch a nationwide effort to highlight the importance of individual emergency preparedness. All 56 states and territories are also committed to this effort and will be organizing various preparedness activities across the nation.
