The UN has designated World Humanitarian Day as August 19th to advocate for the safety of humanitarian aid workers and for the well-being, survival, and dignity of people impacted by crises. It also involves the recongition of those serving humanitarian causes, which includes volunteers like you.
As we are returning to school over the next few weeks, it is a great time to focus on member recruitment and engagement! It is also helpful to brainstorm ideas for the upcoming semester, including volunteer events, blood drives, and campaigns.
