Not only is the American Red Cross committed to providing the safest blood products possible for all patients in need, but we also are active in working with payers to assign appropriate codes for blood products. As you know, the first step in helping to ensure appropriate reimbursement often is correct coding. In order for hospitals to submit accurate claims, coding systems must evolve and incorporate changes.
Below, we provide coding information to assist our customers in keeping pace with recent changes in the coding environment.
