Current Projects
American Red Cross provides $200,000 for Flood Relief
The money will be used to support the efforts of the Mozambique Red Cross Society in responding to the devastating floods that have affected the country over the past month.
Reinforcing Logistical Disaster Preparedness and Response Capacity
The Mozambique Red Cross in coordination with the American Red Cross has established and implemented a strong logistics system in the national society for use during times of emergency and non-emergency at the MRCS national headquarters as well as the local level.
Water and Sanitation Project
The project aims to assist 75,000 people through a program that focuses on training of community members in hygiene and water pump maintenance as well as the rehabilitation of boreholes. The project is structured to improve the health status of the population originally targeted by the American Red Cross Water and Sanitation Project in 2000-2001.
