Together We Prepare

The national benchmarking format was used when creating the Together We Prepare curriculum alignment charts. This format breaks the courses up among three grade groups: K-4, 5-8 and 9-12.

Level 1 K-8 (does not offer certification in CPR or first aid)
Level 2 5-8
Level 3 9-12

Together We Prepare, Level 1

First Aid and Preparedness Level 1 is a 2-hour presentation that provides families and children in the community and schools with valuable lifesaving tips to help them prevent and prepare for emergencies at school or at home.

Health – Grades K-4
Health – Grades 5-8
Science – Grades K-4
Science – Grades 5-8

This presentation does not offer certification in CPR or first aid. Participants will learn how to recognize emergencies, call 9-1-1, help someone who is choking, care for common household emergencies and control bleeding. The topic of CPR is covered but limited to an orientation and skill introduction.

Course hours: 2 hours

For Grades: 1-5
