Water Safety Today

The national benchmarking format was used when creating the Water Safety Today curriculum alignment charts. This format breaks the courses up among three grade groups: K-4, 5-8 and 9-12.

Health – Grades 5-8
Health – Grades 9-12

Designed to help increase safety wherever and whenever water sports are enjoyed, Water Safety Today teaches easy-to-remember safety tips that apply to pools, spas, water parks, lakes, rivers, oceans and more. This course is ideal for parents, the general public, youth organizations and people who participate in and around the water, such as camp staff and campers. Taught in a meeting room setting, it’s perfect for off-season instruction or for orientation meetings before group outings.

Course hours: 2 hours

For Grades: 4-12 and school staff
