Corporations Provide Essential Support of Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
Every eight minutes, around the clock, the American Red Cross helps a family whose life was struck by disaster. Red Cross workers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide shelter, food, water, comfort and more to people just like you and me who suddenly find their worlds turned upside down due to a disaster like a residential house fire, flood or tornado.
The Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund enables the organization to respond to disasters anywhere, anytime, regardless of cost, the community's ability to support relief services or media coverage. But, because the cost of providing lifesaving relief is rapidly outpacing contributions, the Disaster Relief Fund is virtually empty. Now, the Red Cross, an organization that has helped people recover from crises for more than 120 years, is in a crisis situation itself. We are asking the American people to help us continue to be there to answer the call.
The following corporations and foundations and their employees have made financial contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund, ensuring the Red Cross can respond immediately to the needs of disaster victims nationwide. Our services are offered free of charge; they are part of our promise to be there for the American people whenever and wherever disaster strikes.
Thank you for helping us to fulfill that promise. Together, we can save a life.
