American Red Cross Partners with My Good Deed
My Good Deed, a non-profit public benefit corporation, was founded in 2002 to honor the victims and volunteers of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on America. My Good Deed pays tribute to them by working to establish Sept. 11 as a national day of voluntary service, charity and compassion.
The American Red Cross, in partnership with My Good Deed, encourages Americans not only to honor the memory of Sept. 11, 2001, as a national day of service and compassion, but to become more active in volunteer service and humanitarianism year-round.
Helping others feels good, and helps you feel good about yourself. Your local Red Cross can work with you to provide rewarding experiences, opportunities to utilize your talents, or provide training to help you serve your community.
Making an appointment to give blood, not just on Sept. 11, but at different times throughout the year. You can donate blood every 56 days! It is vitally important to helping maintain an adequate, safe and secure blood supply in the United States and elsewhere.
From first aid and CPR to swimming and lifeguarding, HIV/AIDS education and Babysitter's Training, American Red Cross programs help people lead safer and healthier lives.
The American Red Cross helps people in need every single day of the year. Your contribution means a great deal to the families who rely on the Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.
