“The Red Vase” (24”x48”) - Original Artwork by Nilou Farzaneh
Value: $2,200
Nilou’s figures look so simple – Anyone can draw a figurine or a flower. Her composition seems so effortless – Anyone can paint a woman on a bench, a flower in a vase, or a fruit in a basket. What makes her work striking is how she paints the woman on the bench, and how she paints the bench on the canvas in a way that pulls the viewer into the canvas, onto that bench, and next to that woman. What makes her work amazing is the complexity of her colors. They are not just complex, they are as if the only color they could possibly be. She incorporates depth in her work in a way that is not just color, or a shade – the way she treats her textures gives her paintings a sense of time. Nilou Farzaneh has regularly exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area and her paintings appear in private collections across the US and Europe. Nilou lives in Palo Alto, California, and finds her inspiration through her travels in Asia, Africa and Europe.

“Red Flight No. 3” (20”x17”) – Original Artwork by Lou Bermingham
Value: $690
Bay Area artist Lou Bermingham has exhibited his artwork in the USA, France, and Cairo, Egypt, as well as in New York City. Lou finds his artistic inspiration through visual and kinesthetic means: “After years of creating paintings, drawings, architectural glass panels, and installations, I had a dream in which I saw over 200 images—completed artworks—flashing across my dreaming memory. When I woke up I painted the first one I could remember and have been influenced by this vision ever since. So my art is influenced by dreams, my Aikido training, Egyptian and Asian artwork, and natural imagery found while exploring caves.” Throughout his travels, Lou has connected with different artists, educators, architects, and interested persons in his efforts to develop a worldwide consciousness about the restorative power of Art. Lou maintains two studios, one in Campbell, close to Silicon Valley, and one in Capitola, close to the power of the Pacific Ocean.
