Winners have improved the capacity of the region to withstand, quickly adapt and successfully recover from a disaster by improving the community’s response.

Nominate a person or an organization for the 2014 American Red Cross Community Preparedness & Resiliency Awards!

Those honored have increased the ability of our community to “bounce back” after a disaster. Winners have improved the capacity of the region to withstand, quickly adapt and successfully recover from a disaster by improving the community’s response:

  • Physically
  • Psychologically
  • Socially, or
  • Economically
  • Whether natural or man-made, thanks to these efforts, the St. Louis area is better able to recover in a healthy and timely manner.

    The awards will highlight best practices in building community preparedness and resiliency. Examples might include:

  • Developing local community networks to address community-wide preparedness and issues
  • Motivating employees, constituents or members to take preparedness actions
  • Preparing to respond better or recover faster if a disaster occurs
  • Taking steps to mitigate the impact of disasters before they occur
  • If you would like to nominate a company, community organization, school, government agency, individual, etc., for an outstanding preparedness or response program, please complete the nomination form. If more information is needed, the American Red Cross Awards Committee will contact the nominee.
