Business Preparedness Academy in Blackhawk, Colorado

WHAT: The Business Preparedness Academy offers an affordable day of training and information for businesses and organizations regarding preparing for, responding to and recovering from an emergency or disaster. The Academy will consist of three general sessions and three breakout sessions featuring experts from the field of emergency management and disaster preparedness. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit with exhibitors who will provide information and resources to assist with planning, preparedness, response and recovery.

In addition to the Academy, the American Red Cross will offer participants the opportunity to complete a free Business Emergency Response Training (limited seating available – please see bottom of page).

FEATURED SPEAKERS: Workshop presenters are recognized leaders in the fields of emergency and disaster preparedness. Presenters have real-world disaster-response and operations experience – they are experts who are responsible for the welfare and safety of others at their business, organization, or community.

The Academy’s Keynote Speaker is Dr. John Nicoletti, a national expert on identifying, assessing and defusing attack-related behaviors and violence in workplaces and schools. Dr. Nicoletti will be speaking about Detection & Disruption of Insider/Outsider Perpetrated Violence.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The Academy offers training tailored to meet the interests of large and small businesses, health care organizations, non-profits and faith-based organizations, as well as concerned individuals.
