CBS Cares raises $23k for disaster relief

Generous and anonymous donors came out on Friday to help CBS Cares raise more than $23,000 for the American Red Cross.

In only 12 hours, TV and radio helped Red Cross volunteers collect random donations at three locations in an around Boston: at City Hall Plaza, Dunkin Donuts in Brighton and at the Route 128 rest area in Newton.

Money raised will help support disasters like Hurricane Sandy, which ruined thousands of homes and displaced just as many people.

Thank you for supporting our relief efforts.
