Celebrating 2013 Contra Costa County Red Cross Volunteers

PLEASANT HILL, CA (June 25, 2013) – The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter is proud to announce the 2013 Contra Costa County Volunteer of the Year, Ruth Rosenburg.

The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to an individual who best exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and who has contributed significantly to operations, programs, and services as well as the mission of the Red Cross.

Ruth has been a volunteer for the Bay Area Chapter for more than seven years. She has been a major part of the Contra Costa County Leadership Council where she has shaped and facilitated the county’s annual Heroes Breakfast event that takes place every fall. Ruth exemplifies the spirit of the Red Cross and the commitment that "ordinary citizens" can contribute to help the Red Cross on fulfill its mission.
