For each customer who enrolls in Columbia Gas of Ohio’s free Direct e-Bill paperless billing service between now and March 31, 2013, the company will donate $5 to Red Cross offices in Northwest Ohio, to help provide critical services and lifesaving training for families and individuals in our community including:

  • Disaster preparedness
  • Disaster relief and recovery assistance
  • First aid and CPR training
  • “We’ve all witnessed the devastating effects of natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy and other emergency events on a national scale,” said Columbia Gas of Ohio President Jack Partridge. “But, it’s important that we’re prepared if something happens in our own backyard. The Red Cross is the organization that can help.”

“We thank Columbia Gas and its customers for their support of the Red Cross mission,” said Neal Litvack, American Red Cross Chief Development Officer. “This partnership will help ensure that the Red Cross is there, whether we are helping a family recover from a house fire or teaching community members how they can prepare for emergencies.”

“Disasters like fires, floods, and winter storms affect us nearly every day,” said Tim Yenrick CEO of American Red Cross Northwest Ohio Region. “Support from generous partners like Columbia Gas allows us to continue to provide services to people in our community at a time when they need it the most.”
