Does Your Family Have a Game Plan? The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter and PG&E Join to Promote Emergency Preparedness

WHAT: Would you know how to turn off your gas or electricity in an emergency? Would you know what to do if you couldn't return to your home after a fire or flood? How would you reconnect with your family if cell phones weren't working? Do you have an emergency supply kit?

All Californians need to be safe and prepared for emergencies large and small. We can't always anticipate when we will face an emergency, but we can take steps to be ready.

During the Monday Night Football pre-game ceremony, the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter will announce their new emergency preparedness partnership with PG&E. PG&E will donate $1 up to $50,000 for every pledge a local family makes to create a Family Safety Plan through In addition, the Red Cross will recognize three Emergency Awareness MVPs from the community.
