Tuesday, January 22, 2013, Meridian, MS – Volunteers and staff from the American Red Cross East Central Mississippi Chapter are on-scene for a third day providing canteen support for first responders searching for a missing boater in Lauderdale County. Red Cross is providing food and beverages to ensure the responders stay fueled and hydrated. Lauderdale County EMD David Sharp requested Red Cross canteen services to support the first responders. A Red Cross mental health worker is also on-scene providing emotional support to the family awaiting news of their loved one.
