Eastern Mass Packs It Up For Troops

Red Cross volunteer packing care package for the troops
This the kind of stuff they want, and we’re more than happy to fulfill those needs.

The 188th Engineers in Afghanistan are about to get a special delivery.

Services to Armed Forces volunteers at the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts this week packed up 12 boxes for the overseas troops – each filled with items to help make them more comfortable.

“This the kind of stuff they want, and we’re more than happy to fulfill those needs,” said Lynn Levine, program manager.

The packages include anti-perspirant, quality shaving razors, men’s magazines, extra soft toilet paper, beef jerky, and candy. The most special item of them all: a Boston Strong t-shirt, donated by Marathon Sports.

Thank you to Marathon Sports for helping us help our troops.
