Fire Displaced Mt. Cory Family Receiving Red Cross Aid

A Mt. Cory family of six is receiving shelter and aid from the American Red Cross of Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties. The family’s home, on N. Main Street in Mt. Cory, suffered major damage in a fire on the moring of Monday, May 6.

Red Cross volunteer disaster responders Holly Blaine and Ron Pahl answered the call for help and provided the family of three adults and three children with assistance for shelter and food and also gave the family members comfort kits of personal hygiene items.

The Red Cross will continue to aid the family as needed and provide information, resources and assistance with recovery planning.
