The Red Cross benefit CD “Red, White, and You” features a variety of gifted home-grown musicians and is available for purchase at Hollywood Casino Toledo as well as all Frisch’s Big Boy, Ralphie’s, and KeyBank locations in Northwest Ohio.

To promote the new American Red Cross benefit CD, Hollywood Casino Toledo is hosting a free concert Thursday, June 27 from 7-10 p.m. Talented local musicians who contributed to the project including Carmen Miller, Highbinder, Nine Lives, The Bradberries, Matt Sayers, Arctic Clam, and Throw It To Erie will perform.

The Red Cross benefit CD “Red, White, and You” features a variety of gifted home-grown musicians and is available for purchase at Hollywood Casino Toledo as well as all Frisch’s Big Boy, Ralphie’s, and KeyBank locations in Northwest Ohio. The cost of the CD is $10 and includes a $4 Frisch’s Big Boy/Ralphie’s coupon, making the final out-of-pocket cost just $6.

The CD includes 23 songs from a very wide variety of bands: goLab, Kyle White, Chrys Peterson, Matt Sayers, Nine Lives, The Sanderlings, Highbinder, Kerry Patrick Clark, Carmen Miller, Arctic Clam, Pat Dailey, Mike Adams, Eddie Boggs, Buck 69, Throw It To Erie, The Reese Dailey Band, Old State Line, The Bradberries, Jeff Stewart, and Milano.

Toledo native and Disney sensation Alyson Stoner contributed her refreshing pop hit “Sweet” to the benefit album. Local legend Crystal Bowersox of American Idol fame generously donated “Holy Toledo” as the bonus track. The CD also opens with a heartwarming rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” previously recorded by fans at a recent Toledo Mud Hens game.

“There’s really something for everyone,” said Amanda Aldrich, communications specialist for American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio, “It’s the perfect CD to put in while cruising around town, barbecuing in the summer sun, or sitting by the pool. It’s also kid-friendly too, so you don’t have to worry about kids overhearing and singing along.”

Proceeds from the CD benefit the programs and services of American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio including disaster preparedness and response; support for local military families during emergencies; lifesaving skills such as first aid, CPR and AED; and access to lifesaving blood services. The $10 raised from the sale of one CD helps provide things like food, clothing, temporary shelter, and comfort kits for adults and children following a disaster.

“Red, White, and You” is sponsored by Toledo Free Press, Bennett Enterprises (Frisch’s Big Boy’s/Ralphie’s), AA Boos & Sons, Toledo News Now, Hollywood Casino Toledo, 1370 WSPD, and KeyBank.
