(SAN DIEGO – July 3, 2013) – The American Red Cross San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter will hold its 115th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Red Cross Chapter Headquarters located in Kearny Mesa at 3950 Calle Fortunada. The annual meeting is open to the public.
During the meeting, Board Chair Bill Trumpfheller will highlight key services provided in the community over the past year, welcome new board members, and Trumpfheller along with Chief Executive Officer Tony Young will discuss the chapter’s vision and provide a sneak peek into a revitalized community-wide initiative to help prepare the San Diego region for human emergencies and disasters.
The Red Cross announced Young as its new CEO in Nov. 2012. He officially came on board in January 2013 after a decorated career in public service advocating for policies and services that were critical to the lives within the community.
