Today the Hannibal Cavemen Team celebrates Opening Day at Clemens Field. The event will include an opportunity for local companies and spectators to contribute to American Red Cross disaster relief efforts.

During the game, spectators can visit the Hannibal Concrete Products’ Safe & Sound Storm Shelter for a special tour. For everyone who enters the shelter (up to 500 people), the local companies participating in the donation drive will donate $1 to the Northeast Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross, for Oklahoma & Hannibal Disaster Relief. Those companies include Hannibal Concrete Products, Mark Twain Redi-Mix, Chester Bross Construction Company; and Tom Boland Ford.

“We are encouraging fans to donate to Moore, OK and Hannibal victims so that we can continue to do everything we can to help the victims in these disaster areas,” said Tom Dugger, Executive Director of the Northeast Missouri Chapter.

You can also help disaster victims by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Your donation helps provide food, shelter and emotional support to those affected by disasters.
