'Rebuilding Minot' Mass Feeding Resumes This Summer

Red Cross Feeding recovering in Minot
From our volunteers, our donors and our staff, all of us at the Red Cross are excited to be able to partner with the community to help feed those that continue rebuilding their homes.

Thanks to a grant from the Minot Area Community Foundation, the American Red Cross ‘Rebuilding Minot’ Mass Care Feeding will once again take place this summer. The feeding will take place every Saturday and Sunday beginning in June and run through September 2nd.

The Red Cross will provide water, food, snacks, cleanup supplies and emotional/moral support for people in the Minot and Burlington area, as they continue to work on their flood damaged homes.

Twelve volunteers are needed to cover each weekend (6 per day) and they'll be handing out supplies or driving an Emergency Response Vehicle.

"From our volunteers, our donors and our staff, all of us at the Red Cross are excited to be able to partner with the community to help feed those that continue rebuilding their homes,” said Allan McGeough, Mid-Dakota Chapter Executive of the Red Cross.

Red Cross volunteers work shifts beginning at 8 a.m. and ending around 7 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Last year, over 10,000 meals/snacks were served during the re-building efforts.
