Red & White Ball Raises Vital Funds for the Metro New York North Chapter.
The Ball raised crucial funds to help Metro New York North provide immediate humanitarian aid after a disaster.

Five hundred guests enjoyed dinner and dancing at the American Red Cross Metro New York North chapter’s 2013 Red & White Ball, themed “Hope Today, Help for Tomorrow.” Held at the Westchester County Airport’s NetJets Hanger May 11, the Ball featured fantasy tablescapes created by local designers, including Emmy Award-winning designer Thom Filicia.

Guests enjoyed cocktails, silent auction, dinner, dancing, entertainment, and a live auction conducted by Hugh Hildesley, Sotheby’s senior auctioneer.

During the event, the Red Cross celebrated the 10th year anniversary of the Spirit of America mobile feeding kitchen, which was funded by the Greenwich community. It was deployed in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and prepared 30,000 meals daily for distribution to hard-hit communities.

The Ball raised crucial funds to help Metro New York North provide immediate humanitarian aid—food, shelter, financial assistance, temporary housing, mental health support and emergency supplies—to those affected by emergencies and disasters.

The Metro New York North chapter offers disaster relief services in Greenwich, Conn., Westchester and the Lower Hudson Valley. The chapter wishes to thank this year’s co-chairs, Elizabeth Boutry and Giovanna Miller, as well as the Ball Committee, for their hard work in helping to making the event a success.
