PALMDALE, June 5, 2013 - After consultation with community partners, the American Red Cross has closed its shelter at Marie Kerr Recreation Center.

The Red Cross is in contact with those affected by the Powerhouse fire and is assisting them with their recovery plans. Since its opening on May 30, the Red Cross provided a safe place to stay, food to eat and emotional support.
