Red Cross Helping 14 After Norwich Fire

Red Cross responding to home fire
We are providing emergency needs to help the families begin their recovery.

The American Red Cross is helping 14 people – 12 adults and two children – in two families after a fire on Norwich Avenue in Norwich Wednesday night. The Red Cross is providing both families with assistance for emergency clothing and food needs. A third family of three adults and one child was also displaced but did not require assistance. Along with the other two families displaced, they were provided comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
