Red Cross Launches Nurse Assistant Training Program in Salisbury

The American Red Cross is now enrolling students for their new Nurse Assistant Training Program which begins Thursday, February 6th. The 4-week, Monday through Friday sessions are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and will be held at the Elizabeth Hanford Dole Chapter, 1930 Jake Alexander Blvd. West in Salisbury.

Exceeding national and state guidelines, the 120-hour program prepares students for certification by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and incorporates not only nursing skills but life and career skills as well. The program features classroom, lab and hands-on clinical experience led by Red Cross Registered-Nurse instructors.

Orientation Sessions are mandatory to enroll in the Nurse Assistant Training course.

Please arrive promptly, as orientations will start on time. Individuals, who arrive late, will not be admitted, and children are not allowed. Bring a pen to complete the application. You must attend an orientation session to receive your registration packet. Orientation for the February 6th Class will be held:

Tuesdays - January 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th; February 4th – 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Thursdays – January 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th – 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

For a limited time, the Wounded Warrior Project is offering financial assistance to qualified upcoming students who are Wounded Warrior (post 9/11), immediate family or their caregivers. Interested candidates should attend an information session to learn more.
