CONCORD, NH, January 19, 2013 — American Red Cross New Hampshire’s Disaster Action Team responded to a single-family fire in Deerfield today. The fire, which occurred at 203H Pinecrest Road, has affected two adults and two children ages 4 and 17. American Red Cross New Hampshire provided immediate financial assistance for food, lodging, shoes, seasonal garments, bedding, comfort kits and offered referrals to partner organizations for long term recovery support.
In addition, a single-family fire occurred at 19 Lakeview Road in Raymond earlier today. The fire affected an adult and his two dogs that were found safe. Financial assistance for food, clothing, shoes, bedding, seasonal garments and comfort kits was provided along with emotional support.
The American Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DAT) are groups of local volunteers located throughout the state that are specially trained to provide disaster relief and emotional comfort. These volunteers are available to respond at any time of day or night to disasters in their communities or surrounding towns.
