Red Cross Responds to Fire


SURGOINSVILLE - December 3, 2012 – Volunteers responded to a fire where a home was destroyed early Friday morning. The Red Cross responded to assist a family of two with clothing, food and other emergency needs. The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nations blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and there families. The Red Cross is a not for profit organization and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to preform it's mission.
