On Saturday, May 18, the American Red Cross of the Heartland will hold a 5k/2-mile walk fundraiser in Fairbury to support Red Cross community programs and services.
Registration for this fun and exciting race/walk is currently open and members of the public can register for $25 per person (non-refundable) by contacting email@example.com or by calling 815-692-3107.
Runners and walkers may also register in advance at Fairbury Chamber of Commerce (101 E. Locust St). Those who register by May 10 will receive a free American Red Cross first aid kit. Sign up that day and receive a kit while supplies last.
The race/walk will start and finish at the Fairbury United Methodist Church, 206 East Maple Street, Fairbury, IL, and a map of the course is available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Check-in on the day of the race will occur between 6:45-7:45 a.m., and the race itself will begin at 8 a.m.
An awards presentation will immediately follow the 5k race for the following age-groups: Under 14, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and older.
All attempts will be made to hold the event, regardless of weather, unless conditions are prohibitive.
