Texas Gulf Coast Red Cross Sends Comfort Items to Our Troops

Service members receive comfort kits

A few months ago all Red Cross Chapters in the Texas Gulf Coast Region assembled care packages with comfort items for troops in Afghanistan. Their response touched us all this morning:

On behalf of the American Red Cross at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, thank you for your generous donation of snacks, toiletries, candy, and drink mix. Your contributions are greatly appreciated!

While our primary mission is to deliver Emergency Communication Messages, the American Red Cross Bagram also provides a location where Service members can relax, enjoy snacks, watch movies, read, play games and socialize. We are appreciative of the donations that are sent to us so that we can continually provide these services. We also use your donations to help assemble morale snack and game packs for our Wounded Warriors recovering or transitioning through the base hospital, and we provide a self-serve toiletry and snack shelves for troops who are in need.

Our Red Cross Bagram Station office and lounge is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because of your care and generosity, we are able to give our troops a little touch of home!
