The American Red Cross is partnering with Fresno Acura to host a preparedness event on September 10, 2014. The event will take place at the Fresno Acura dealership at 7250 N Palm Avenue in Fresno. The festivities will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Red Cross preparedness team encourages families to come out and get trained on how to be ready for life’s unexpected emergencies. The event will feature music, raffle prizes, free ice cream from Rosa Brothers, and an appearance from a Fresno Fire truck.
“You can’t wait until an emergency happens and then wish you had prepared,” said Executive Director Ellen Knapp, “It’s important for families to take the time to put together emergency kits before a disaster strikes.”
The Red Cross Central Valley encourages everyone to get a kit, make a plan, and be informed. Learn the skills necessary to protect friends and family right at your fingertips through the Red Cross First Aid app for mobile devices.
