SANTA ANA, CALIF. April 12, 2014 - The American Red Cross expresses condolences to those who have lost loved ones, or had loved ones injured in this week’s Northern California bus accident.
Families across California that have been affected by this tragedy can call the Red Cross hotline for assistance: 1-800-540-2000. Impacted families may call this number for help and to be connected to the resources available by their local Red Cross chapters.
Red Cross caseworkers will be available to meet with families who may need mental health support or counseling, assistance with travel or transportation expenses, and who may have incurred significant expenses related to this accident.
In addition to the sheltering and mental health services the Red Cross has provided in Orland, Red Cross chapters across Southern California are working with the affected school districts and other community organizations to assist those involved in this accident and their families.
