BERNARDO FIRE: AMERICAN RED CROSS TO KEEP SHELTER OPEN OVERNIGHT

 

SAN DIEGO- May 13, 2014 – While evacuations have been lifted, the American Red Cross will continue to keep the shelter open through the evening at Rancho Bernardo High School, located at 13010 Paseo Lucido, San Diego, 92128.

Red Cross disaster workers will staff a skeleton crew in case the situation changes overnight.  The shelter can provide immediate needs of those affected, including a safe place to stay, food and clothing, emotional support and health services. 

The Red Cross will continue to provide updates as we have them. The Red Cross works closely with our partners to determine what services are needed for those impacted by the fire. Follow @SDICRedCross for more information.

The San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross is dedicated to assisting those affected by disasters. Trained Red Cross volunteers and staff are on call round-the-clock and are ready to assist in various aspects including disaster assessment, casework, shelter, feeding and more. The local chapter responds to a disaster every 24 hours.
