Red Cross Helping Three People After Thursday and Friday Fires

Two families are getting help with emergency needs after two recent fires.

FARMINGTON, CONN., SEPTEMBER 27, 2013 - The Red Cross is helping three people with emergency needs after fires in Willington and Manchester on Thursday and Friday.

The Red Cross is helping one person with emergency food and clothing needs after a fire Thursday on Old Farms Road in Willington.

The Red Cross is helping two adults with emergency housing, food and clothing needs after a Friday fire on Seaman Circle in Manchester.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
