Eastern Mass spreads preparedness message to faith communities

Eastern Mass spreads preparedness message
We want to communicate with folks through every avenue possible. The more people prepared, the better.

The American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts might be coming to a place of worship near you.

To celebrate National Preparedness Month, the Red Cross is sharing safety tips and emergency information with as many people as it can. One way of doing that is by working with faith communities to spread the word.

“Disasters happen every day, and the Eastern Massachusetts region is no exception,” explained Leighton Jones, Regional Disaster Officer. “We want to communicate with folks through every avenue possible. The more people prepared, the better."

The Red Cross created a bulletin, which is available to all faith communities interested, and includes information about emergency preparedness checklists, kits, evacuation plans and more.

Please contact Peter Khang at peter.kahng@redcross.org to request a copy of the bulletin.
