Hilary Greene, Chapter Executive Director of the Cape Cod & Islands Red Cross, is about to embark on the 118th B.A.A. Boston Marathon.

On April 21, 2014, Greene will run her third marathon with Team Red Cross - her fourth marathon overall.

Greene has a long history with the Red Cross, having been a blood platelet donor for over 20 years and serving on the local board of directors. Now, as chapter executive, she gets to witness firsthand the work of the American Red Cross.

After last year’s tragedy, this year’s run is especially important to her.

“No matter what my time is, I am thrilled to be part of Team Red Cross,” she said. “I’m running for all of those who were affected by the bombs, and for all of those who jumped in to help.”
