Red Cross Response Seaside Park Boardwalk Fire

The Red Cross is saddened by this tragic fire that has impacted the residents and businesses still in the process of recovering from Superstorm Sandy.

REFRESHMENTS, COMFORT AND SUPPORT FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

OCEAN, Friday, September 13, 2013 — American Red Cross Jersey Coast Chapter responded to a call for assistance to Seaside Park Boardwalk for a ten-alarm fire in the afternoon of September 12. Approximately 20 Red Cross Disaster Responders were on the scene providing food, drink and comfort for the firefighters and First Responders around 5 pm yesterday afternoon. The Red Cross Disaster Responders stayed on the scene until early Friday morning, serving coffee and offering support to all emergency personnel involved in putting out the blaze.
